Heather Nolin
Heather is an innovator, problem-solver, and visionary with deep experience as a leader in the nonprofit, academic, and museum worlds. She founded Nolin Consulting, LLC in 2021 to deliver strategic insights and inspired solutions to various national and international arts organizations and their leaders.
Heather is also the founder of the Creative Leaders Guild, a visionary, invitation-only community of high-performing female leaders of arts and humanities nonprofits who are motivated by personal and professional excellence, vision, and a desire to impact their communities.
In addition to her administrative expertise, she has curated major exhibitions and published and presented about art, museum practice, and other topics. She has taught nationally and internationally and worked at diverse academic and arts institutions, including Galleria dell’Accademia di Firenze; Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford, CT; and MassMoCA in North Adams, MA. Most recently, she served as Deputy Director for Exhibitions, Programming, and Education at the Yale University Art Gallery.
Heather is a graduate of the Getty Leadership Institute’s Executive Education Program for Museum Leaders and an experienced nonprofit arts board member. In addition to her current role as chairman of the Syracuse University Art Museum Advisory Board, she previously served as a trustee of the Williamstown + Atlanta Art Conservation Center in Williamstown, MA, the Barrington Stage Company in Pittsfield, MA, and the James Blackstone Memorial Library in Branford, CT.
